Margarita de Famara (Argyranthemum maderense)

Compact shrub, up to 70 cm tall, with a woody base and highly branched. Leaves oblanceolate-pinnatisect, spathulate, somewhat fleshy, glabrous, pale green or glaucous. Flower heads are solitary at the end of the branches and the ligules are light yellow. Despite its specific name, this plant is a native of Lanzarote (Canary Islands), characteristic of the central and northern area of the island, where it appears between 150-650 m, generally in cool, north-northeast-facing locations. Fairly common in certain locations, especially the coastal cliffs of Famara and adjoining valleys.
